Practicing yoga is a great way to tone the muscles, increase flexibility, and amp up core strength. Even doing a single yoga pose at the start or end of each day can help in all three of these categories over time. Plus, by strengthening our core we become less prone to injury, better able to maintain weight, as well as strengthen back muscles and both sides of the torso.
When assuming a yoga pose, remember to breathe consciously and rhythmically, relax the mind but engage the body, move slowly yet stay strong, and keep the eyes focused on a single spot.
