Laughter may truly be one of the best medicines after all. The benefits of a good laugh are astounding which makes it quite healthy for us, not to mention how fun it really is. Aside from that, laughter is FREE! And it doesn’t take much effort nowadays to find a funny video, book, or song, surround yourself with humorous people, or even think of something you find completely hilarious.
There are lots of great ways to make yourself, or other people you know, laugh so hard they momentarily forget about their worries and woes. For this reason, laughter is one of the greatest ways we bond together as friends, as well as make new connections and memories. It increases happiness and intimacy in ways that would otherwise take much longer to achieve.
Laughter is infectious, inspires our hopes, and lightens our burden if only for a moment. Yet this moment is all it takes to help us shift our perspective and ease stress. Considering laughter triggers the release of endorphin’s, the bodies natural feel-good chemicals, it helps enhance resiliency and strengthen the immune system. Also, promotes an overall sense of well-being and/or even helps relieve pain.
