In 2017, humanity will become even more aware of the climate change and the importance of biodiversity, conservation, and environmentalism in general. Although many people think that the new POTUS will put the most powerful country in the world on a completely different track, the expert community that has been pointing out the highly visible and measurable consequences of climate change are simply too strong to be ignored.
New environmentalist trends are being defined by the scientific research, business, and political decisions. In 2016 we’ve seen the eighth annual Horizon Scan of Emerging Issues for Global Conservation and Biological Diversity, which summarized the most important environmental risks and opportunities for the next year. In this article, we’ll use the conclusions from this conference as a framework to determine ten green trends that science and the corporate community will need to deal with in 2017.
